ClimateGate: Warming Earth by Cooking the Books, South Pole Edition


What happens to a South Pole temperature graph when climate scientists "forget" to include 185 months of temperature data between 1975 and 1991, plus all the data from 2003 and beyond?

Hmmm.


The original, unadjusted data shows a warming trend of +1 degree  Celsius per century:





However, the adjusted data shows a warming trend of +4.47 degrees per century:

More cooked books. Like the Australian temperature books and the New Zealand temperature books.


No wonder the East Anglia Climate Research Unit is taking away public access to previously published data, like the Briffa tree ring data.
